How to make art with little kids – even when you’re not arty!

Apr 15, 2016

As long as I can remember I’ve thought of myself as not arty. As a child I had friends who could transform paper into a thing of beauty, but not me. I always preferred words and stories. But art is incredibly important to young children, so I knew I wanted to include it in my sons’ days and help them to enjoy creativity. I’ve been discovering so much with them!

Over on Parent.co I’ve written an article about the challenges I’ve had as a non-arty parent, and how we found ways to make art a relaxed and creative part of our daily family life.

I was lucky to find some amazing resources that guided me in helping to make art a positive experience for my young children. We keep our art exploratory, fun and all about discovery. Please click on over to find out what I discovered, and a very simple approach to early years art!
