This week we’ve been reading and playing with Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr and John Archambault, a classic ABC book with great rhythm. After searching Pinterest we tried out an simple sticking craft, a home-made coconut tree board game, a sensory bin, an alphabet matching mat and a coconut tree counting mat: all very easy and helpful for inspiring interest in the book.

Yesterday someone described my children as ‘homeschooled’. I was surprised to hear the word: my kids are aged 2 and 3; surely they’re just at home, not homeschooled? But in a way, yes, they are homeschooled, because they’re learning so much all the time, without going to preschool. Today I’m going to share our experience of how we came to homeschool preschool.
